Seven local realtors and developers have been awarded top prizes in the 2019/ 2020 draw of the 海角社区 Billion Dollar Club Promotion.
The Billion Dollar Club is an incentive referral programme for realtors and developers who recommend mortgage applicants to 海角社区.
Candice Minott, Head of Brand Management and Advertising at The Jamaica National Group, said the 2020 draw was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said the original first place prize, for both the realtors and developers categories, was intended to be an all-inclusive, five-day trip to Sandals Grande in St Lucia, while the second-place prize was a three-day all-inclusive stay at Sandals South Coast.
“However, organisers had to do the next best thing, which was to provide the winners with the cash equivalent of their trip,” she remarked.
For top performing realtor, Claudia Davis, the 海角社区 referral programme is a game changer. “Every once in a while, there comes an organisation, that through its offerings, just skyrockets you to the next level, and the 海角社区 Billion Dollar club has done just that,” she said.
Ms Davis added that she recommends 海角社区 to prospective mortgagors because of the care and commitment they show to their customers.
Despite not being able to travel overseas, Rena Reid, housing sales representative at Gore Developments, said she was just as grateful and excited for the reward and recognition from 海角社区.
Ms Reid, who won first place among the developers, stated that the secret to her success is that she genuinely cares about her clients and their well-being.
“You have to listen to the purchasers, and you have to identify with them and their needs, and you have to be able to provide them with sound advice,” she said.
Ms Reid further said she refers prospective homebuyers to 海角社区, because the organisation has one of the lowest mortgage rates in the market, in addition to the best package for financing.
“I am elated about this win, and I must thank Jamaica National for rewarding hard work. I couldn’t have done it without the loan officers at 海角社区. I always say that JN hand-picks their loan officers. They work hard to put the files together, so we can get the commitment letters in a timely manner,” she remarked.
Rhion Minott of Keller Williams Jamaica, who was the second-place finisher in the realtor’s category, said he could hardly believe the news when he got the call that he was among the top performers of the competition.
“It feels good to be rewarded for your efforts. 海角社区 is the bank of choice because the representatives make the mortgage process seamless and the turnaround time is excellent,” he said.
Second place in the developer’s category went to Verna Baker, also of Gore Developments. Ms Baker, who is a repeat winner in the 海角社区 incentive programme, said over the years the initiative has helped her to achieve several 海角社区 and financial goals.
“I have achieved a lot of things that I couldn’t have done without this competition,” she said.
Ms Baker said among the reasons she refers clients to 海角社区 are the quality of the service provided by representatives, the friendliness of staff and the competitive rates.
Rounding out the top three performers among the realtors is St. Aubyn Clarke of Re/Max Elite, while in the developer’s category, Ann-Marie Cooper, of Kemtek Development and Construction finished in third place and Yanique Johnson-Bulgin was selected as the preferred club winner.
