Effective July 28, 2025, we will discontinue the issuance of GBP and Canadian cheques drawn on Citibank N.A., London branch.
This has become necessary as GBP and CAD cheques issued after July 28, and presented by the beneficiary for payment after October 14, 2025, will not be honoured by Citibank.
Additionally, as of September 15, 2025, we will also discontinue the acceptance of all foreign bank issued GBP cheques.
We will, however, continue to accept CAD cheques (excluding CAD cheques drawn on Citibank, London) and local bank issued GBP and CAD cheques.
We encourage you to instead use wire transfers to conduct future transactions.
